Midni for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor

AI agents

Connect Midni to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code and manage your personal finances in plain language: ask about your spending, add transactions, categorize them. The connector is a remote MCP server at https://mcp.midni.finance/mcp.

Requirements

A Midni account with an active Premium subscription.
An AI app that supports remote MCP connectors: Claude (web, desktop, mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and others.

Connect

Claude

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector (or find Midni in the connectors directory).
Paste https://mcp.midni.finance/mcp and click Connect.
A Midni page opens. Sign in, review the access requested and click Allow.

ChatGPT

Settings → Apps → find Midni (or add a connector with https://mcp.midni.finance/mcp if developer mode is on).
Sign in to Midni and allow access.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http midni https://mcp.midni.finance/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in in the browser.

Cursor and other clients

Add a remote MCP server with the URL https://mcp.midni.finance/mcp. If the client has no OAuth support, create a personal access token in Midni (Settings → AI agents → Create token) and send it as Authorization: Bearer <token>. The token is shown only once.

The connector never deletes data. Transactions imported from a bank keep their amount, date and account: only their category, notes, tags and splits can change.

Security and privacy

You choose the access level: read only, or read and write.
The AI app never sees your Midni password: you sign in on a Midni page.
Tokens are stored hashed. Access tokens expire after an hour and the app renews them automatically.
Midni keeps a log of tool calls (which tool, when, from which app) for 90 days. The text of your searches is not logged.
Data an AI app receives is processed by its provider under its own terms. See the Privacy Policy (in Ukrainian).

Disconnect

Settings → AI agents, on the web or in the app, lists every connected app and token with its last use, and lets you revoke any of them. Changing your password or email, or deleting your account, revokes them all.

FAQ

The assistant says Premium is required

The connector is a Premium feature. Once you subscribe, the connection works without signing in again.

The assistant doesn't see a change I made in the app

Ask it again: data is always read live.

Can I share only one profile?

No, the assistant sees every profile of the account.
